L501 Route Tour
Easter Sunday 2007
Photos

L501 was taken out on Easter Sunday, 8th April, 2007 for a tour of several routes both north and south of the city centre. The former Garston and Penny Lane depots were visited en route and a short stop was even made in the new Liverpool South Parkway. The first leg took us out to Garston, past Princes Park, then up to Aintree via Penny Lane before returning to Pier Head, via the flyover, for a brief photo call. The second trip out took us past the former Exchange Station and back over the flyover, heading for Lee Park, before heading north to Seaforth and returning back into the city. Fortunately, the weather was glorious and the sun shone nicely all day!

Routes undertaken were during the day were:

First Leg:
87 (Garston Circular, via Princes Park and Church Street)
86B (Penny Lane - Short Journey)
99 (Lower Lane, via Tuebrook and Old Swan)
15D (Pier Head via Breck Road and Norris Green)

Second Leg:
79D (Lee Park via Edge Hill and Wavertree)
73C (Taggart Avenue)
61 (Seaforth, via Old Swan and West Derby)
