1032 seen on the Garden Festival service
HISTORY
1032 was delivered new to Merseyside PTE IN February 1984 to Prince Alfred Road (Penny Lane) Garage. Whilst at PAR 1032 was a regular private hire bus and was also used on the shuttle buses to the Liverpool Garden festival in 1984.

1032 had a red band added around her lower deck and a Merseybus fleet name added, as a livery experiment on the run up to deregulation, this was quickly painted out.

The promotional Merseybus livery
On 26th October 1986 the bus passed to the newly formed Merseyside Transport Limited (Merseybus) company. It was also at this time that PAR closed its doors as a casualty of deregulation and 1032 was transferred to Garston Garage. 1032 remained a Garston bus for a while and received Maroon and cream livery whilst here. In July 1991 MTL merged several routes into Cross City routes and 1032 became a regular performer on the 80A Airport to Lydiate/Ormskirk route.

1032 seen at Speke Airport on an 80A in March 1995.
In August 1996 Garston depot closed and 1032 became a Speke bus briefly but was soon transferred away from its native South Liverpool to St Helens and became part of the Lancashire Travel fleet, where she remained until Arriva take over of MTL in February 2000.
Phoenix Morris Dancers from Kirkby became the next owners of 1032 until MTT member Dave Wright stepped in to preserve her in late 2002.

1032 is now owned by MTT members Mike Collingwood and James Rowlands and is preserved in Maroon and Cream as she was during her time at Garston.
